BIM Lead
The BIM Lead is responsible for managing BIM delivery and coordination across the data centre construction programme, overseeing the federated model, leading clash detection processes, and ensuring compliance with the BIM Execution Plan (BEP) and ISO 19650 standards.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, maintain, and enforce the BIM Execution Plan (BEP) for the project in accordance with ISO 19650
Manage the federated BIM model across all disciplines — CSA, MEPF, and ELV
Lead BIM coordination sessions, conducting clash detection reviews using Navisworks and issuing clash reports
Oversee the Common Data Environment (CDE) including folder structures, naming conventions, and revision control
Review BIM submissions from design consultants and subcontractors for standards compliance
Coordinate 4D and 5D BIM activities with the Planning and QS teams
Manage model-based design reviews, walkthrough sessions, and visual progress reporting
Support RFI resolution through model-based coordination and spatial clash assessment
Prepare BIM progress reports and present BIM coordination status to project leadership and client
Drive continuous improvement in BIM workflows and digital delivery across the programme
Required Skills & Competencies
Expert proficiency in Autodesk Revit and Navisworks for BIM authoring and coordination
In-depth knowledge of ISO 19650 Parts 1–3 and BIM Execution Plan development
Strong experience managing federated models on large, multi-discipline construction projects
Proficiency with CDE platforms (Autodesk Construction Cloud / BIM 360, Asite, or equivalent)
Experience managing clash detection workflows and coordinating resolution with design teams
Knowledge of 4D simulation tools (Synchro, Navisworks TimeLiner) and 5D cost integration
Familiarity with data centre design standards and hyperscale client BIM requirements
Strong stakeholder management and presentation skills for BIM reporting
