Civils Superintendent

The Civils Superintendent oversees and supervises all civil engineering construction activities on site, including groundworks, foundations, drainage, external works, and associated civil infrastructure, ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme, and to specification.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise all civil engineering works on site including bulk earthworks, piling, foundations, in-situ concrete, and drainage systems

  • Manage civils subcontractor gangs, plant operators, and labour on a day-to-day basis

  • Review and implement approved method statements, inspection and test plans (ITPs), and work packs for civil scope

  • Conduct quality inspections at hold and witness points for civil works, recording results and issuing sign-off certificates

  • Coordinate civils activities with structural, architectural, and MEP teams to manage interfaces and avoid clashes

  • Manage site logistics, plant movements, materials deliveries, and laydown areas for civil scope

  • Raise and track RFIs, design queries, and technical submittals related to civil works through the CDE

  • Enforce HSE standards for all civil operations including excavations, plant exclusion zones,

  • Maintain daily site diaries, progress records, and photographic documentation for civil activities

  • Support preparation of weekly civil progress reports and short-term look-ahead programmes
