The Construction Manager (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing & Fire) leads all MEPF construction activities on site for the data centre programme, ensuring that critical building systems are installed, tested, and commissioned in line with the project programme and the client's stringent operational requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all MEPF construction activities on site, including HV/LV electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems

  • Coordinate MEPF subcontractor packages, reviewing performance against programme and quality standards

  • Oversee MEPF installation, testing, and pre-commissioning activities in coordination with the commissioning team

  • Review and approve method statements, ITPs, and commissioning procedures for MEPF scope

  • Manage interface coordination between MEPF disciplines and CSA through the CDE

  • Ensure compliance with data centre-specific MEPF standards including Tier requirements, redundancy configurations, and client specifications

  • Manage RFI resolution and design change implementation for MEPF scope

  • Prepare weekly MEPF progress reports, look-ahead schedules, and issue trackers

  • Support system handover, O&M documentation, and as-built records preparation

  • Ensure HSE compliance across all MEPF installation activities

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Expert knowledge of data centre MEPF systems including UPS, generators, CRAC/CRAH, HV switchgear, and fire suppression

  • Experience managing complex MEPF subcontractor scopes on mission-critical projects

  • Understanding of Tier I–IV data centre standards (Uptime Institute) and their construction implications

  • Proficiency in BIM coordination for MEPF clash resolution (Navisworks, Revit MEP)

  • Strong knowledge of testing, commissioning, and integrated systems testing (IST) protocols

  • Familiarity with relevant electrical and mechanical standards (IEC, EN, local codes)

  • Experience with MEPF-specific quality management and ITP sign-off

  • Solid HSE awareness for high-voltage and mechanical plant installation environments
