Design Coordinator

The Design Coordinator supports the Design Manager in coordinating design information across all disciplines on the data centre construction programme, managing drawing registers, RFIs, technical submittals, and BIM coordination activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate design information flow between the design team, site team, and client

  • Manage the drawing register, tracking IFC drawing issues, revisions, and supersessions

  • Process and track RFIs, design queries, and technical submittals through the CDE

  • Support BIM coordination sessions, facilitating clash detection reviews and issuing clash reports

  • Maintain design logs, open issues registers, and action trackers

  • Distribute design information to subcontractors and site teams in a controlled manner

  • Support the Design Manager in preparing design progress reports and presentations

  • Coordinate design interfaces between CSA, MEPF, and ELV disciplines

  • Assist in the review of shop drawings, material submittals, and technical documentation

  • Ensure design deliverables are uploaded, issued, and tracked in the CDE in a timely manner

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Strong experience in design coordination on construction projects

  • Proficiency with CDE platforms (Autodesk Construction Cloud, Asite, or equivalent)

  • Working knowledge of BIM and Navisworks for clash coordination

  • Ability to read and interpret multi-discipline construction drawings

  • Strong document control and information management skills

  • Experience managing RFI and submittal workflows in a formal project environment

  • Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously

  • Good communication skills for coordination across design teams and site
