Environmental Advisor
The Environmental Advisor is responsible for managing all environmental compliance and monitoring activities across the construction site, ensuring the project meets applicable environmental legislation, permit conditions, client sustainability requirements, and minimises its impact on the surrounding environment.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and maintain the Construction Environmental Management Plan (CEMP) and site-specific environmental procedures
Monitor and manage site environmental compliance including noise, dust, vibration, water discharge, and waste management
Conduct regular environmental inspections and audits across the site, issuing observations and driving corrective actions
Manage environmental permit conditions and liaise with regulatory authorities on compliance reporting
Provide environmental inductions and toolbox talks to site personnel and subcontractors
Manage site waste, including waste streams classification, segregation, disposal, and waste transfer documentation
Investigate environmental incidents and near-misses, preparing reports and implementing corrective measures
Monitor ground and surface water conditions where required, including silt fence and drainage protection measures
Maintain environmental registers, monitoring data, and compliance records for client and regulatory reporting
Support the project in achieving environmental and sustainability targets
