Planning Manager
The Planning Manager leads all planning and scheduling activities for the data centre construction programme, developing and maintaining the master programme and ensuring schedule integrity across all disciplines and subcontractors.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, baseline, and maintain the master construction programme using Primavera P6 or equivalent
Integrate subcontractor and vendor programmes into the master schedule
Conduct regular schedule updates, variance analysis, and critical path reviews
Facilitate look-ahead planning sessions with site teams and subcontractors
Identify schedule risks and develop mitigation and recovery plans
Prepare detailed planning narratives and progress reports for client and leadership
Support tender and pre-construction planning activities as required
Coordinate with the Project Controller on EVM and schedule performance indices
Implement and maintain planning standards and procedures across the programme
Liaise with design and procurement teams on long-lead items and interface milestones
Required Skills & Competencies
Expert-level Primavera P6 (required); Microsoft Project proficiency desirable
Strong knowledge of construction sequencing for complex, multi-disciplinary projects
Experience with 4D BIM scheduling and model-linked programming
Proficiency in schedule risk analysis tools (e.g. Safran Risk, Oracle Risk Analysis)
Ability to develop and present meaningful lookahead programmes at various levels
Sound understanding of critical path method (CPM) and resource-loaded schedules
Strong written and verbal communication for stakeholder reporting
Knowledge of fast-track construction delivery methodologies
