The Project Controller is responsible for overall project controls, cost management, schedule monitoring, and reporting across the data centre construction programme. Operating as a senior consultant at the international project site, this individual ensures that project performance is tracked, forecasted, and communicated accurately to all stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain the project controls framework including cost, schedule, risk, and change management

  • Develop and manage the project baseline programme in coordination with the Project Manager

  • Monitor and report on project progress against baseline, identifying variances and corrective actions

  • Manage project budget, expenditure tracking, forecasting, and cost-at-completion reporting

  • Prepare weekly and monthly project performance reports and executive dashboards

  • Coordinate Earned Value Management (EVM) reporting and KPI monitoring

  • Manage the change control register and assess financial/schedule impacts of variations

  • Interface with client cost and commercial teams on budget approvals and forecasts

  • Support risk register maintenance and quantitative risk assessments

  • Ensure compliance with project document control and reporting protocols

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Proficiency in Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project for schedule management

  • Strong expertise in cost management tools (e.g. EcoSys, Oracle, or equivalent)

  • Solid understanding of Earned Value Management (EVM) methodology

  • Experience with hyperscale data centre or large-scale industrial project controls

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills for financial modelling and reporting

  • Familiarity with BIM/CDE environments and digital project delivery

  • Strong analytical and report-writing skills for senior stakeholder audiences

  • Knowledge of FIDIC or NEC contract structures and commercial implications
