Quality Engineer – Electrical/ELV/ICT
The Quality Engineer (Electrical/ELV/ICT) is responsible for quality assurance and control of all electrical, extra-low voltage, and ICT system installations on the data centre construction site, ensuring compliance with specifications, standards, and the client's quality requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Implement and manage ITPs for HV/LV electrical, ELV, and ICT installation activities
Conduct site inspections at hold and witness points for electrical installations, cable testing, and switchgear works
Raise and manage NCRs for electrical and ELV scope, ensuring timely resolution and closure
Review subcontractor electrical method statements, quality plans, and test procedures
Manage material submittals and approval processes for electrical equipment and cabling
Witness and record electrical testing activities including IR testing, loop testing, and OTDR fibre testing
Maintain complete quality records for electrical and ELV systems in the CDE
Support FAT activities for generators, UPS, and HV switchgear
Liaise with the electrical design team on RFIs and technical deviations
Contribute to punch list inspections, test pack compilation, and handover documentation
Required Skills & Competencies
Strong knowledge of LV/HV electrical installation quality requirements and inspection techniques
ITP management experience for cabling, switchgear, UPS, and ELV systems
Familiarity with electrical testing methods (IR testing, loop impedance, PAT, OTDR)
Experience with NCR management in formal QMS environments
Knowledge of relevant IEC, EN, and BS standards for electrical and ELV installations
Proficiency with CDE platforms and document management for quality records
Ability to read and interpret single-line diagrams, cable schedules, and ELV schematics
Good coordination skills across electrical, mechanical, and ICT installation interfaces
