The Quality Lead is responsible for establishing, implementing, and managing the Quality Management System (QMS) across the data centre construction programme, ensuring that all works are delivered to the specified quality standards and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain the project Quality Management Plan (QMP) and Quality Procedures

  • Manage the Inspection and Test Plan (ITP) library across all disciplines — CSA, MEPF, and ELV

  • Conduct site quality audits and inspections, recording and tracking non-conformances (NCRs)

  • Chair quality review meetings and drive NCR closure with subcontractors and the site team

  • Review and approve subcontractor quality plans, method statements, and ITPs

  • Manage the material approval and submittal process in coordination with the design team

  • Oversee the punch list management process through to system handover and Practical Completion

  • Maintain quality records in the CDE and ensure audit trails are complete and retrievable

  • Interface with the client quality team and third-party inspectors / certification bodies

  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives and lessons-learned reviews on quality performance

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 quality management systems and their implementation on construction projects

  • Extensive ITP development and management experience across CSA and MEPF disciplines

  • Experience conducting formal quality audits and managing NCR processes

  • Proficiency with quality management and document control platforms (Aconex, Asite, ACC)

  • Sound understanding of construction materials, workmanship standards, and testing requirements

  • Familiarity with data centre-specific quality requirements and client QMS standards

  • Strong stakeholder management and reporting skills

  • Knowledge of BREEAM, ISO 50001, or EN 50600 quality-aligned standards is advantageous
