Quantity Surveyor – CSA
The Quantity Surveyor (CSA) manages all commercial and cost activities related to civil, structural, and architectural works on the data centre construction site, supporting contract administration, valuations, and cost reporting for CSA subcontract packages.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and review interim valuations and payment applications for CSA subcontract packages
Measure and value CSA works in accordance with the contract and applicable measurement standards
Assess and process variation orders and change requests for CSA scope
Maintain the CSA cost register, tracking budget, committed costs, and forecast outturn
Prepare subcontract tender enquiries, analyse tenders, and support award recommendations
Manage subcontract administration including notices, instructions, and final accounts
Contribute to monthly cost reports and CVRs for CSA scope
Liaise with the CSA site team on measurement queries, dayworks, and site instructions
Support the resolution of commercial disputes and claims for CSA works
Maintain accurate records of correspondence, instructions, and commercial events
Required Skills & Competencies
Solid measurement and valuation skills for CSA construction works
Knowledge of civil engineering and building construction methods for accurate measurement
Proficiency in CostX, Bluebeam, or equivalent for quantity take-off and measurement
Experience administering construction subcontracts (FIDIC, NEC, JCT, or equivalent)
Strong Excel skills for cost tracking, CVR preparation, and variation pricing
Ability to assess and price variations using first principles and rates-based methods
Good coordination skills with site teams and subcontractors for commercial matters
Familiarity with CDE platforms for document management and commercial correspondence
