The Quantity Surveyor (MEPF) manages all commercial and cost activities related to mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection works on the data centre construction site, administering MEPF subcontracts and supporting cost reporting and change management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review interim valuations and payment applications for MEPF subcontract packages

  • Measure and value MEPF works in accordance with contract provisions and measurement standards

  • Assess and process variation orders and change requests for MEPF scope

  • Maintain the MEPF cost register, tracking budget, committed costs, and forecast at completion

  • Prepare MEPF subcontract tender enquiries, analyse tenders, and support award recommendations

  • Administer MEPF subcontracts including notices, instructions, and final account settlements

  • Contribute to monthly cost reports and CVRs for MEPF scope

  • Liaise with the MEPF site team on measurement queries, dayworks, and site instructions

  • Support the resolution of commercial disputes and claims for MEPF works

  • Maintain accurate records of MEPF commercial correspondence and events

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Solid measurement and valuation skills for MEPF construction works

  • Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and fire protection systems for accurate cost assessment

  • Proficiency in CostX, Bluebeam, or equivalent for MEPF quantity take-off

  • Experience administering MEPF subcontracts in a formal commercial environment

  • Strong Excel skills for MEPF cost tracking, CVR preparation, and variation pricing

  • Ability to read and interpret MEPF drawings, schedules, and specifications for measurement

  • Good coordination skills with MEP site teams and subcontractors on commercial matters

  • Familiarity with MEPF-specific pricing methodologies and manufacturer price lists
