SEO Strategist (SEO, GEO & AEO)
We are looking for an SEO Strategist who can drive organic growth through search engine optimization (SEO), Generative Engine Optimization (GEO), and Answer Engine Optimization (AEO). The ideal candidate should understand how users discover services through Google, AI search engines, LLMs, and answer platforms, and develop strategies that generate qualified business leads.
Key Responsibilities
SEO Strategy & Growth: develop and execute SEO strategies across Design, Engineering, BIM, Digital Twin, Reality Capture, and Construction Technology services; build SEO roadmaps aligned with business goals and lead generation; identify high-intent keywords; build topic clusters; monitor AEC search trends.
Keyword Research & Content Strategy: conduct keyword research and search intent analysis; identify keyword gaps across competitors; develop content plans for service pages, blogs, case studies, webinar pages, landing pages, and industry resources; prioritise keywords by business value; create content briefs for writers.
Content Optimisation: optimise new and existing content for search visibility and lead generation; improve service pages, case studies, webinars, blogs, and landing pages; align content with user intent and buyer journey; improve structure, internal linking, and topical authority; refresh and repurpose content.
GEO (Generative Engine Optimisation): improve visibility in AI-generated search results; optimise content for AI platforms; strengthen entity relevance and topical authority for AI discovery; position Desapex as a cited source in AI responses; monitor GEO best practices.
AEO (Answer Engine Optimisation): optimise for featured snippets, answer boxes, and conversational search; structure content to answer industry-specific questions; build FAQ and Q&A frameworks; improve visibility across traditional and AI-powered answer engines.
Competitor Intelligence & Market Analysis: monitor competitor SEO and content strategies; identify keyword gaps and ranking opportunities; communicate Desapex's differentiators; capture competitor search demand ethically; benchmark authority, backlinks, rankings, and content performance.
Authority Building & Link Acquisition: improve domain authority and trust signals; pursue backlinks via partnerships, industry publications, digital PR, and thought leadership; monitor backlink quality; identify toxic backlinks; strengthen industry authority and reputation.
Performance Measurement & Reporting: track rankings, organic traffic, conversions, and lead metrics; produce monthly SEO reports; monitor website health, indexing, and crawlability; present insights to management and marketing; evaluate ROI from SEO, GEO, and AEO.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: work with content writers, coordinate with the website developer on technical SEO, collaborate with marketing on campaigns, webinars, and lead generation, and support branding through search intelligence.
LinkedIn Search Visibility & Profile Optimisation: optimise the Desapex LinkedIn Company Page; develop keyword strategies for LinkedIn content and employee profiles; improve LinkedIn search rankings; optimise leadership profiles; ensure consistent messaging across website, LinkedIn, and AI answer platforms.
Required Skills
SEO Expertise: strong On-Page, Off-Page, and Technical SEO; keyword research, content strategy, and search intent analysis; understanding of ranking factors and algorithms; lead-generation-focused SEO strategy.
GEO & AEO: understanding of Generative Engine Optimisation and Answer Engine Optimisation; knowledge of AI search ecosystems and optimising content for AI citations; ability to structure content for AI discoverability.
Research & Analysis: strong competitor analysis; keyword gap and market opportunity identification; topical authority and content clustering; strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
SEO Tools: experience with one or more of Ahrefs, SEMrush, Google Search Console, Google Analytics, Screaming Frog, Google Keyword Planner, and Surfer SEO (preferred).
Communication & Collaboration: excellent written and verbal communication; clear content briefs and recommendations; strong stakeholder management and collaboration.
Qualification: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Digital Marketing, Business, Communications, Engineering, or related field; SEO certifications a plus; demonstrable SEO project experience preferred.
