Site Manager – PHE
The Site Manager (Public Health Engineering) supervises all PHE works on the data centre construction site, including water supply, drainage, sanitation, and associated plumbing services, ensuring delivery to specification, programme, and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise daily PHE installation activities including domestic water, drainage, sanitation, and rainwater systems
Coordinate with the MEPF Construction Manager on PHE programme and resource planning
Verify PHE works against approved drawings, specifications, and method statements
Manage PHE subcontractor performance and quality on site
Conduct and sign off on ITPs, pressure tests, and CCTV drainage surveys
Raise and track PHE RFIs and design queries through the CDE
Coordinate PHE/civil and PHE/mechanical interfaces to avoid clashes and rework
Enforce HSE requirements for PHE activities including confined space entry and manual handling
Maintain site records, progress documentation, and material delivery logs
Support pre-commissioning, flushing, and disinfection of water systems
Required Skills & Competencies
Solid hands-on experience in PHE installations on large construction projects
Knowledge of water supply, drainage, and sanitation systems and relevant standards (EN 1717, BS EN 12056, etc.)
Ability to read and interpret PHE drawings, schematics, and specifications
ITP management and quality inspection experience for PHE works
Familiarity with water treatment, flushing, and L8 (Legionella) compliance requirements
Good HSE knowledge for plumbing and drainage installation environments
Coordination skills across civil, mechanical, and architectural interfaces
Experience with BIM coordination tools for PHE clash review and installation management
