Structural Manager
The Structural Manager leads structural design management and site delivery coordination for all structural elements of the data centre construction programme, ensuring that structural works are designed, reviewed, and constructed in compliance with specifications, codes, and client requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Lead structural design management across the programme including structural steel, reinforced concrete, foundations, and specialist structural systems
Manage the structural design interface between the structural engineer of record, specialist subcontractors, and the site construction team
Review and approve structural shop drawings, connection designs, and material submittals
Coordinate structural design with architectural, MEP, and civil disciplines to resolve clashes and interface issues
Manage structural RFIs and design change requests through the CDE, expediting responses to site
Oversee structural inspections and quality sign-off including weld inspections, bolt torque checks, and concrete pour records
Support the site team on structural engineering queries and buildability issues
Coordinate third-party structural inspections, independent checking engineer reviews, and local authority approvals
Monitor structural construction progress against the programme and flag risk items to the project team
Prepare structural design management reports and contribute to overall project progress reporting
