Desapex was honored to participate in the India CRE Conference conducted by the RICS on 17th of September 2025 flourished with case studies and panel discussions on different topics on related to how to innovate, adapt and futureproof to shape a resilient built environment for the emerging India by the CRE industry experts.
Jerin Biju and Sharan Patil represented Desapex in the event. The panel discussions started with how India’s commercial real estate is going to emerge especially in the tier 1, 2 and 3 cities, infrastructure, urbanization. The sectors that are going to emerge were mentioned as manufacturing, data centers, office spaces, residential, student spaces, senior community living spaces. The discussions went on how to be sustainable? How to achieve the ESG? The importance of employee experience within the workplace. One of the major points that caught my mind was “In the future more people will be spending the time in the indoor”. So, whatever is built should have a human centric approach. The workplaces should be flexible and adaptable.
From here it was about the technological trends on achieving the goals. The discussion went on emphasizing the importance of digitization, especially in project management and the importance of document control, collaborative working environment, 4D BIM, communication, change management and stakeholder satisfaction.
Here discussions took a twist to the importance of AI in the emerging era. One of the core points of the discussion was “data driven decision making”. But the question was “Do you trust the decision?”. The hot topic ended up with a positive tone on customized end user experience and note on “Humans are the culture builder for any organization”.
The next topic on for discussion was about Global Capability Centers (GCC’s) who plays a vital role in India’s growth are now focusing on the Tier 2 and 3 cities looking ahead on the talent, infrastructure, and sustainability. They are redefining the future of work.
The discussions were concluded by pointing out the importance of mixed-use developments in terms of convenience, sustainability and community engagement. By blending residential, retail, office, and recreational spaces into cohesive, walkable environments, these developments are redefining how we live, work, and connect.
We had a great opportunity to network and build relationship, meet new people from different background, understand what each of them does and how we can help each other to India grow. As a digital engineering company, Desapex is proud of being a part of the growing CRE sector of India with our digital expertise.
