A Leader Shaped by the Built Environment

Samuel joins Desapex with more than 25 years of experience in the AEC and MEP engineering sector — a career that began at the drawing board and grew into the boardroom.

He spent 25 years at one of Sweden's foremost built-environment engineering consultancies, where he progressed through a remarkable succession of roles: starting as a building automation engineer specialising in smart building systems, energy management, and MEP installations, before moving into business development, then leading the group's market strategy as Market Manager, and ultimately serving as Head of Innovation — reporting directly to company management and shaping the firm's agenda at the intersection of smart buildings, digital twin technology, and facility management.

That trajectory — from hands-on engineering to innovation leadership — is rare. It means Samuel understands both the technical realities of building systems and the strategic questions that property owners, developers, and operators wrestle with every day.

Beyond his consultancy career, Samuel has represented Sweden as a board director of a pan-European MEP engineering network spanning more than 4,000 professionals across 15 countries. Most recently, he has run his own advisory ventures, working with leading real estate and technology organisations on business strategy, leadership development, and market growth.

As Regional Director – Sweden, Samuel will lead Desapex AB's operations and growth across the country: building client relationships, shaping our regional strategy, and ensuring that the depth of Desapex's global engineering capability is matched by genuine local understanding and presence.

What sets Samuel apart is his ability to speak two languages fluently — the technical language of engineers and the strategic language of decision-makers. Throughout his career he has been the bridge between them: translating complex building technology into business value, and business ambition into deliverable engineering outcomes.

That bridge-building instinct reflects something central to how Desapex works. Digital engineering is not about tools for their own sake; it is about giving project owners clarity, reducing risk, and enabling better decisions across the lifecycle of a built asset. Samuel has spent his career doing exactly that.
