Personal Journey

I was born and brought up in Mandya, Karnataka, as the only daughter in a close-knit joint family. I was deeply pampered, especially by my mother, I still smile thinking about how she would lovingly feed me every day until I was almost 15.

One memory I cherish is how my father, who was determined to provide me with the best education, used to travel nearly 20 kilometers daily just to drop me at kindergarten. He always dreamed of seeing me study in a good international school and that vision of his really shaped my journey.

My childhood wasn’t just about academics it was filled with a rich mix of extracurriculars. Thanks to my father's background as a physical education teacher, I was exposed to a disciplined and active routine from an early age. I was enrolled in classical dance (Bharatanatyam), Sangeetha, Yoga, Sanskrit classes and sports.

By the age of 9, I had already started performing on stage. Over the years, I’ve given more than 40+ Bharatanatyam stage performances and successfully completed my Senior Exam in Bharatanatyam. Alongside that, I’m also a state-level throwball player, which reflects my strong involvement in sports and physical training from early on.

All my education was completed in Mysore, and I went on to pursue a Diploma in Architecture from JC College.

Professional Path

Before joining Desapex, I was working as a Project Architect at a small architectural firm, where I was primarily involved in residential and commercial planning, as well as interior design projects. One of my key responsibilities was to coordinate with site teams and ensure that the execution matched the design intent we had planned both in terms of layout and detailing.  

Through that role, I gained a strong foundation in design coordination and site execution. However, while working on these projects, I began noticing a growing shift in the industry the rise of BIM (Building Information Modeling) as a game-changing approach to how buildings are planned, executed, and managed.  

I became increasingly curious about BIM and started researching its applications, tools, and future scope. I realized that BIM was not just a trend, but a powerful shift in how the AEC industry was evolving and I wanted to be part of that transformation.  

That’s when I made a conscious decision to pause my career in traditional design and shift toward BIM. I joined Desapex to build hands-on experience in this domain, and since then, it has been a great journey of learning, upskilling, and contributing to digital engineering projects. It was a bold move at the time, but looking back, it was a turning point that aligned perfectly with where the industry is heading.  

Role at Desapex

I work as a Project Coordinator at Desapex. My role sits at the intersection of technical delivery and team coordination, and I’m responsible for ensuring our BIM and digital engineering projects run smoothly from start to finish.

On a day-to-day basis, I coordinate between cross-functional teams, architects, structural engineers, MEP engineers and ensure all the digital deliverables are aligned with client expectations. I also support planning and tracking project milestones, monitoring progress, and ensuring timely communication between stakeholders.

Unique Qualities and Superpowers

One of my key strengths is staying joyful and approachable with my team. I strongly believe that understanding people on a personal level builds trust and creates a healthier work environment. When teammates feel heard and supported, they naturally come together when the project demands the most.

A Typical Day at Desapex

My day at Desapex starts with a smile and greeting to my buddies and of course, a black coffee before I open my laptop. One unique and meaningful ritual we follow at Desapex is starting our day with the National Anthem, which sets a focused and united tone for the day.

Once that’s done, I begin by checking my calendar to review the meetings lined up, whether it's internal project syncs, client reviews, or coordination calls. I then have a quick check in with my team to review project progress, address any issues, and plan the priorities for the day. This helps ensure that everyone is aligned and supported from the start.

As for balancing work and personal life , I keep things clear but flexible. I try not to bring personal matters into my professional space, but I also don’t hesitate to take up work responsibilities, even if it’s during my personal time. For me, work is not just a duty. t’s part of the rhythm of life, so I stay available when needed, while still making time for myself and my family.

One of the main reasons I chose Desapex is because I truly believe in work-life balance, and this is one place where I’ve found that balance to be real and respected. So for me, Desapex isn't just a workplace it's a space where I’ve grown both as a professional and as an individual.

Personal Touch

Outside of work, I love spending time at the gym, it’s my go-to stress buster. On weekends, I enjoy exploring new restaurants and trying out different cuisines, I'd say I’m quite the foodie!

I also have a huge passion for traveling. Whenever I get the chance, I pack my bags and head out to explore new places. Traveling helps me recharge and brings in a lot of fresh perspective, both personally and professionally.

One quote I strongly believe in and try to live by is:

It reminds me to stay grounded, enjoy every moment, and give my best in whatever I do.

Impact and Future Aspirations

Over the past few years at Desapex, I’ve had the opportunity to grow, learn, and make meaningful contributions to the projects and teams I’ve been part of. Looking ahead, I see my role evolving into one with more leadership and strategic responsibilities managing larger project portfolios, mentoring new team members, and fostering stronger collaboration across functions.

I’m especially eager to engage with more international projects and take on greater client-facing responsibilities. I look forward to having my calendar filled with client meetings, where I can represent Desapex and help drive impactful outcomes. My focus will remain on adding value, building trust, and continuously growing both as an individual and as a contributor to Desapex’s long-term success.
