Role Summary

We are looking for a Business Development Executive to drive growth for our Digital Engineering and Manufacturing solutions portfolio. The role involves identifying new business opportunities, engaging with customers, understanding their engineering and manufacturing challenges, and positioning Desapex’s digital solutions to deliver measurable business value.

This position requires a blend of consultative selling, customer relationship management, and a strong understanding of engineering and manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, qualify, and develop new business opportunities in digital engineering and manufacturing domains.
  • Engage with customers to understand their business challenges related to design automation, engineering workflows, data integration, and manufacturing efficiency.
  • Present Desapex’s solution offerings and value propositions through meetings, presentations, and proposals.
  • Work closely with technical and delivery teams to create tailored solutions and commercial proposals.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders including engineering heads, operations leaders, and IT teams.
  • Manage the complete sales lifecycle from lead generation to closure.
  • Track opportunities in Salesforce and provide accurate sales forecasts and reports.
  • Participate in industry events, webinars, and marketing initiatives to generate leads and increase brand visibility.
  • Collaborate with partners and internal teams to support joint go-to-market initiatives.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 4–7 years of experience in business development or sales in engineering, manufacturing, or digital transformation solutions.
  • Strong understanding of engineering and manufacturing processes (design, automation, production, or digital manufacturing).
  • Experience in solution selling and customer engagement at enterprise or mid-market levels.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to understand customer requirements and translate them into business solutions.
  • Self-driven, target-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience working with engineering software, digital platforms, or automation solutions is an advantage.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technology, Business, or a related field.
  • MBA or equivalent qualification is a plus.
