Role Overview
The Data Analyst will be responsible for consolidating data from multiple enterprise systems, structuring it into a unified analytical layer, and developing dashboards and reports that support operational and management decision-making.
This role focuses on making data usable, reliable, and insightful, enabling teams and leadership to monitor performance, identify risks, and take timely actions across projects and operations.
Key Responsibilities
1. Multi-System Data Analysis
- Work with data originating from multiple systems and tools across the organization.
- Understand how data is created, updated, and consumed across different functions.
- Combine disparate datasets into coherent, analysis-ready views.
2. Data Preparation & Quality
- Clean, transform, and normalize data for reporting and analysis.
- Define checks for data accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
- Identify anomalies, mismatches, and dependencies across systems and flag them early.
3. Dashboard & Report Development
- Design and develop interactive dashboards and reports for different user groups.
- Translate business questions into:
- Trends and exception views
- Ensure dashboards are intuitive, consistent, and decision-oriented.
4. Insight Generation & Interpretation
- Analyze performance, progress, cost, quality, and risk data.
- Identify trends, variances, and early warning signals.
- Present insights in a clear, concise manner suitable for non-technical stakeholders.
5. Standardization & Governance Support
- Document assumptions, methodologies, and data limitations.
- Assist in improving reporting consistency across teams and projects.
6. Stakeholder Collaboration
- Work closely with business users, functional teams, and system owners.
- Gather reporting requirements and refine them into analytical outputs.
- Support reviews and discussions by explaining data, insights, and implications clearly.
Required Skills & Experience
Core Skills
- Strong experience in data analysis and dashboard development
- Hands-on with tools such as:
- Power BI / Tableau / equivalent
- Advanced Excel skills (Power Query, pivot tables, formulas)
Data & Analytical Skills
- Ability to work with large datasets from multiple sources
- Strong understanding of KPI design and analytical thinking
- Experience in trend, variance, and performance analysis
Exposure
- Experience working with project-based, operational, or enterprise data
- Exposure to industries such as construction, infrastructure, real estate, engineering, or manufacturing is an advantage
- SQL or basic scripting (Python) for data preparation
- Debugging and identifying root cause for data refresh
- Experience in working with integrated enterprise environments
- Exposure to client requirements gathering and communications
- Understanding of data governance concepts
