Desapex at Prabhanjana - PMPC 2025: A Day of Transformation, Leadership & Innovation

December 15, 2025

Last Saturday, we had the privilege of representing Desapex at Prabhanjana – PMPC 2025, the flagship project management conference hosted by the PMI Bangalore India Chapter in Bengaluru. This year’s theme, “Innovating Project Management to Elevate the World,” resonated deeply with our mission of driving impactful, data-driven outcomes in complex delivery environments.

A Vibrant Start to a Purposeful Day

The day began with an evocative opening invocation that blended traditional artistry with symbolic storytelling, setting a reflective and energizing tone. From the outset, the atmosphere was one of curiosity, collaboration, and forward thinking, reinforcing the importance of purpose-driven leadership in today’s project environments.

Insights from Thought Leaders

What struck me most was the diversity of speakers and perspectives:

  • GP Captain Angad Pratap, Astronaut Designate of the Gaganyaan mission, shared an inspirational session titled “From Bhumandal to Brahmand: Leading Beyond the Gravity,” where he drew compelling parallels between space mission discipline and everyday leadership practices.
  • Dr. Taslimarif Saiyed from C-CAMP unpacked how scientific innovation can scale with disciplined project leadership highlighting that purpose and precision go hand in hand.

We also had the opportunity to engage with sessions focused on customer centricity, talent leadership, and deep technology showcases where innovators presented real-world applications spanning neurotech, sustainability, and enterprise AI.

Hands-On Learning & Conversations

Beyond formal sessions, the conference hall buzzed with conversations that went beyond theory:

  • Practical exchanges on adaptive governance frameworks and how organizations can build resilience in uncertain environments.
  • Unlocking the Talent Trifecta – Learn, Lead & Leap was a standout panel on leadership and talent strategy, featuring voices from academia, industry, and talent councils, a timely reminder that people-centric leadership is integral to sustained execution excellence. The panel’s perspectives provided practical takeaways on nurturing talent, fostering continuous learning, and driving meaningful organizational impact, leaving me inspired to bring these insights back to our work at Desapex.
  • Networking with peers, from established PMO leaders to emerging voices in digital transformation, offered fresh insights on how we at Desapex can further refine our delivery frameworks and coaching programmes.

These interactions reaffirmed a key theme echoed throughout the day transformation is not a destination but a dynamic journey of collective momentum.

Cultivating Perspective: Human Factors, Mental Models & Leadership

Later sessions such as The Happy Brain, delivered by Dr Swaroop Gopal, offered a unique intersection of neuroscience and leadership reinforcing that emotional resilience and cognitive wellbeing are foundational to high-performance delivery environments.

The conference closed with a powerful leadership keynote by Dr R Balasubramaniam, drawing lessons from grassroots governance and values-based transformation a fitting reminder that project leadership is both a strategic craft and a moral commitment to collective progress.

Celebrations, Recognition & Cultural Harmony

I was particularly moved by the Long-Standing Member Recognition, where veteran contributors were honoured celebrating the community and legacy that have sustained PMI Bangalore’s mission for over two decades. The closing cultural performance a vibrant jugalbandi beautifully mirrored the conference’s theme of harmony, collaboration, and collective excellence.

Reflections & Takeaways

Being at Prabhanjana – PMPC 2025 was not just about absorbing knowledge; it was about sensing the future trajectory of our profession:

  • AI and automation aren’t just tools they’re accelerators for strategic value creation.
  • Leadership rooted in empathy and purpose remains central to delivering meaningful outcomes.
  • Cross-sector collaboration drives innovation that scales beyond organizational walls.

The blend of visionary keynotes, practical examples, and real-world case studies enriched my perspective and reaffirmed how we at Desapex can continue championing excellence not just in project execution, but in cultivating resilient, future-ready leaders.

Looking Ahead

As the conference concluded with cultural performances and closing acknowledgements, we left with renewed clarity and inspiration. Prabhanjana truly lived up to its meaning a swirling momentum of ideas, connections, and transformative energy.

We look forward to carrying these insights into our work at Desapex and into the collaborative discussions that await in 2026.

“What stayed with me most wasn’t a single keynote or framework, but the collective energy in the room a shared belief that project leadership today is less about control and more about enabling people to do their best work.”
